Five Years and Still Going Strong! |
|
When we started Wheelworks in
2003, we set out to help make State College a great town for cycling. This isn’t
just lip service; we put our time and money where our mouth is. From helping out
at the Wilderness 101 every year, to bringing Single Speed Worlds here in 2005,
to being active in the various cycling clubs in town, Wheelworks has helped
move the bike community forward in the Centre region. We look forward to doing it long into
the future!

Beat the price of gas this summer! |

The photo at left was stolen from Urban velo and is a station in California, but can Pennsylvania really be that far behind? Better to start thinking about what can be done to keep some money in your pocket. The simple answer? Go by Bike! Here at Wheelworks, we have a great selection of commuter gear, from Chrome Bags to SKS Fenders to Bontrager Racks and various panniers. We also have great commuter bikes from Trek, Gary Fisher, and Swobo on our floor and ready to roll. So come on by and see what you can do to save some cash and maybe even save the planet!

The Wilderness 101 is July 26th |
Its time to get fired up as the 101 returns for its 8th year. This year, the field promises to be bigger and stronger as the NUE series has kicked in to high gear. Once again, with full participation slated from Wheelworks, we will be closed for the day. IF you really feel a need to come see us, head out to the course and heckle. We'll appreciate the encouragement. Chris is still looking for volunteers, so if you are interested, drop him a line and see what a race looks like from the other side!
